Maria "Cuca" Portugal, 75, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away at her home on September 5, 2012.
She was a longtime resident of Port Isabel and Laguna Vista area before moving to Mathews, North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Antonia Zamora- Portugal of Laguna Vista, Texas; brothers, Katarino (Teresa+) Portugal and Belester Portugal.
She is survived by her sisters: Monse (Hank) Geier of Laguna Vista, TX, Maria Jesusa (Jimmy+) James of Matthews, NC and Guadalupe (Jess+) Etheridge of Port Isabel, TX; brother Tomas (Margarita) Portugal of Santa Ana, CA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
