Esperanza G. Santillan, 92, of San Benito, TX, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by loving family. The most amazing, courageous, and caring, Lady of the house, whose passion was to provide limitless for her family. Mrs. Santillan was born in Mexico City on August 1, 1929, to Moises and Maria De Jesus Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Victor R. Santillan, and daughter Eloisa M. Santillan-Garza. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Florestella Santillan, Carmen Santillan, Victoria (Gilbert) Rebollozo, Esmeralda Santillan and Victor Jr. (Irma) Santillan. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 5 pm to 9 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass is scheduled tentatively for June 17, 2022, at 10 am at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, in San Benito, with interment to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
