Maria Severa Garcia, 83, of San Benito, went to be with our Lord, on April 28, 2022, at Harlingen Nursing and Rehab. She is preceded in death by her parents, Basilio and Carolina Garcia, a daughter, Lucille De La Rosa, son, Samuel Leal III, and siblings, Ernesto Garcia, Guadalupe Perez, and Francisca Gonzalez. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Noe (Manuela) Leal, Liza (Juan) De Leon, and Daniel Leal. Also surviving are her siblings, Joe Garcia, Maria Lazara Tapia, Jesus Garcia, Maria Antonia Garcia, and Socorro Loya, along with numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 10 am at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Services will conclude after.
