Aurora Ramirez Noriega, 80, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2022 in Harlingen Texas. Aurora Noriega was born in Harlingen, Texas to Nicholas and Paula Ramirez on March 9, 1941. She went to high school at Harlingen ISD and graduated in 1959. Aurora had a love of children and was a fantastic mentor she put both these skills to work as a Teacher’s Assistant for Harlingen ISD for 15 years. She saw the magic in flowers and had a green thumb, gardening was her favorite pastime. As a person who loved learning, she was an avid reader. Aurora most important and greatest gift of all was being the Rock to all her family She is preceded in death by her Parents Nicholas and Paula Ramirez her siblings Nicholas Ramirez, Ricardo Ramirez. Aurora is survived by her husband Edio Noriega of San Benito to whom she was a loving wife to for 59 years. She was an Angel of a mother to her surviving children; Cindy Vega, Christy Rios and Eddie Noriega, grandchildren; Eric Vega, Vincent Vega, Raven Rios, Christopher Rios, Kaitlin Noriega and Jackson Noriega. Aurora had one great grandchild, Austin Soto. Aurora is also survived by her siblings; Fred Ramirez, Dora Noriega and Nora Ruiz. Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.mm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and face covers or masks are recommended.
