Maria F. Lozano, 93 years young, vigorous, independent and full of life and love until the end, a long time Berkeley, California resident, passed away on Veterans Day, November 11, 2021 in Stockton California. Ms. Lozano is preceded in death by her parents; Andres “AC” Castillo Flores and Emilia Flores Palomo, brothers; Juan, Alejandro, Lionel, sisters: Ruth F. Chavez, San Juana Tamez, Matilde Colunga, brothers-in-law Manuel Chavez and Saturnino “Chico” Colunga and sisters-in-law Yolanda Flores, Carmen Flores and Balbina Flores. Her sole surviving son is Jose Gerardo “Jerry” Lozano (Luz Maria Duran Rios) of Richmond, California. Also left to cherish her memories are her grandchildren: Jose Jr, San Jose, CA, Marisa Celeste Lozano, Stockton, CA, Eric Michael Lozano, Stockton, CA, Veronica Cristina Lozano Duran, Jose Francisco “Paco” Ramirez, Jessica Ramirez, Richmond, CA, great grand-children: Rosa Marisella, Ralph Richard, Remy Angel and Kaleah Mai Lozano all of Stockton, Kevin Alfredo Pineda, Leslie Alejandra Prado, Melanie Ramirez, Richmond, California. Her brother Miguel “Mike” Flores (Irma) of Lyford, sister-in-law Josephine Garcia (Houston) and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. Grateful appreciation for her granddaughter, Marisa. Marisa took her grandmother into her home and was her daily care giver in her last difficult days of life. Visitation was held Monday, November 29th, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary recitation at 7:00PM. A Catholic service was held on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at St Joseph Catholic Church, San Benito Texas, at 10:00 am, with internment that followed at Harlingen-Combes Memorial Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Ralph Richard Lozano, Remy Angel Lozano, John A. Flores, Michael Sanchez, Frank Galvan, and William Torres. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
