Sylvia Besteiro, 69, of San Benito, Texas, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her mother, Josefina Martinez; and 2 brothers, Pedro Martinez Jr and Rafael Martinez. She is survived by her children: JoAnn (Gustavo) Rodriguez, Robert (Lisa) Lawson, Ronald Bruce (Kristy) Lawson Jr. and Dorothy Richelle (Angel) Colon; 12 Grandchildren: Rhonda (David) Perez, Edward (Lori) Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez,Gustavo (Megan) Rodriguez Jr., Foster (Rokia) Lawson, Robin (Jason) Hieatt, Laticha Lawson, Brittnay Lawson, Robert Lawson Jr., Ronald Bruce Lawson III, Teylor Lawson and Kyndal Colon; ten great-grandchildren; and two on the way. She is also survived by her sisters: Margaret (Roy) Garza, Rosie Martinez, and Nena Martinez, and Carmen Martinez. "You will forever be in our thoughts and prayers." Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
