Please share a memory of Teresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Teresa Belinda De La Cruz, 61, passed away peacefully at University Hospital in San Antonio on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Teresa was born on October 15, 1959, in San Benito, TX. She was the fifth of six children born to Raul and Juanita De La Cruz. Teresa was a sister to Raul Jr., Ramiro, Clara, Lourdes and Anna. She was David Wade’s dear and loving aunt, as well as a dedicated TRLA employee and colleague. Her favorite and most important role however was being a devoted, nurturing, and most affectionate mother to her pride and joy; her children; Valerie (Kenneth) and Chon (Natalie), with whom she shared many loving and joyous occasions. These times are now memories that will forever be treasured. To all at TRLA, Teresa Belinda, Valerie and Chon were most grateful for the phone calls, messages, and well-wishes she received as she courageously fought to recuperate and recover. Thank you, TRLA, for your generosity, thoughtfulness, and prayers. University Hospital inn San Antonio treated Teresa with the finest passible care. It was there on February 17, 2015 that she received a kidney donation from her daughter Valerie; and it was there that she continued to obtain the best medical attention available until the end. Teresa Belinda herself was a registered organ donor, due to her passing, others will benefit from her corneal and tissue donation. Victor Hugo wrote “ It is nothing to die. It is frightful not to live.” Teresa Belinda Lived her life as she wanted, usually with a good joke, but always surrounded by lots of laughs. Rest in peace Teresa Belinda.
