Federico "Lico" Jimenez Fierro, 95, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Yolanda Fierro, his daughters, Juana Armandina Hernandez, Deborah (Felipe+) Brown, Mary Yolanda Fierro; Son, Gerardo Fierro; his 3 brothers Teofilo (Catalina+) Fierro ,Martin Sarinana, Juan Garza, his 5 sisters Maria Dolores Fierro Chavez, Carmen Fierro Sarinana, Maria Luisa Fierro Sarinana, Garciela Fierro Sarinana, Juana Fierro Sarinana and his parents, Armando Muñoz Fierro and Ambrosia Jiménez Fierro. He was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel and a proud member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Columbus, he was also a past member of Quarter Back Club of Port Isabel. When he was not at sea, he would volunteer his time serving God at church, help raise funds by cooking or designing crafts for Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, for local officials, special events in the community and school functions. He is survived by his 2 loving Sons, Santiago F. (Concepcion) Fierro of Port Isabel, Texas and Francisco X. (Martha) Fierro of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Margarita Fierro of Port Isabel, 1 brother Jaime Reyes Fierro Sarinana Phoenix, Az; Sister-in-law Antonia (Juan+) Zurita of Bayview, Texas and Dolores (Juan) Rodriguez of Clute, Texas; and son-in-law, Thomas C Hernandez of Texas City, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (May include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings). Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Port Isabel City Cemetery in Port Isabel, Texas with Deacon Augusto Chapa officiating.
