Carmen Dolores Zuniga, 49, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on December 8, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Sometimes the world or a small town is blessed with the presence of a beautiful person, inside and out. Since June 14, 1971, Carmen has been making her small town in South Texas a better place. Carmen lit u every room she was in. She was a truly gentle soul who loved everyone around her without condition. She was preceded in death by her father, Rafael, and two brothers, Oscar and Julio Zuniga. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Elvira, five brothers, Rafael (Karen), Luis, Jose (Linda) Wil and Jorge; fifteen nieces and nephews; twenty -nine grandnieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel, TX. with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Jose D. Zuniga, Sr., Jose D. Zuniga, Jr., Wilfredo E. Zuniga, Luis A. Zuniga, and Jorge E. Zuniga. Due to current COVID restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
