Espetacion B. Garza, 89, a lifetime resident Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal rest on May 7, 2012. She was a devoted member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and Casa Del Sol Adult Daycare in Brownsville, Texas. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Juan Jose Garza; grandson, Michael Angel Martinez; four sisters; and four brothers. Left to cherish her memories are her five children: Jose Fernando (Joan) Bermudez of Salina, Kansas; Yolanda Bermudez of Brownsville, Texas; Rosemary Garza of Houston, Texas; Olivia (Rosendo) Martinez of Port Isabel, Texas; and Jose Reyes Garza of Port Isabel, Texas. Also surviving her are 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with the chapel service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Cremation will follow service in accordance to her wishes.
