Ruben Salazar, was born on 2/27/68 and passed away on 8/20/20 at Harlingen Medical Center. Ruben was raised in Harlingen, TX. He attended Harlingen High School and attended College in San Marcos, TX at Southwest Texas State University where he obtained both a Bachelor and Master’s in Business Administration. Ruben was a long-time resident of Austin, TX and also resided in Port Isabel, TX. Ruben is preceded in death by his father, Eduardo Salazar, his maternal grandparents Maria de Jesus and Clemente Ornelas, and his paternal grandparents Eduardo and Irene Salazar. Ruben is survived by his mother, Antonia Salazar, brother Jaime, three sisters; Olga, Imelda and Angelica, and his nephews; Wesley, Roshawn, Alex, Joel and Brisa, and Stacy and Jaime Eduardo. Ruben had no spouse and no human children. He was an avid lover of dogs and left behind his beloved pets Frosty, Popcorn and Willie whom he carried with him during his long business trips between Austin and South Padre Island and took to work on a daily basis. Ruben was a Certified Public Accountant. He owned his own accounting firms, Ruben Salazar, LLC., in both Austin and South Padre Island. He was dedicated to his profession and often left no room for hobbies. However, he was very much into exercise and healthy eating. Ruben was loved by his family, his close friends and clients. He will be missed dearly. May he Rest in Peace!
