Ernesto Garcia, 76, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on May 4, 2012 in Harlingen, Texas. Ernesto will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eleuterio and Tomasita Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Oralia Garcia; five sons: George (Anna Topete) Garcia, Dagoberto (Elizabeth F.) García, Ernesto (Sonia) García Jr, Juan R. (Susie) García, and Jesús (Ruth M.) Garcia. He is also survived by his brother, Abel Garcia, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito, with committal service to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Ernesto Garcia Jr, Juan R. Garcia, Santos Garcia, Jesus Garcia, Esteban Carmona, and Rene Juarez.
