Obituary of Gloria Gonzalez

Please share a memory of Gloria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gloria Gonzalez, 59 of San Benito, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020, in Harlingen, Texas. Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Family was everything to her. She protected her family and made sure they came first. She would do anything for her two sons, took great care of her mom, and always tried to help anyone in need. Gloria enjoyed music and dancing, especially at her favorite hangout, The Gas Station. She loved riding motorcycles; with the wind blowing on her face she felt free. Some of her favorite traditions were taking her mom to lunch every Friday with other family members, regularly meeting her son for dinner, and annual Las Vegas trips with her mom and siblings. Gloria’s daughter-in-law would make her feel so special when she would make her favorite meals. Watching movies and football with her son, Joey, and visits from her grandchildren were moments she cherished. Gloria was a person full of love and joy. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Angel Gonzalez; and son, Ruben Frank Lopez. Gloria is survived by her mother, Maria Elena Gonzalez; son Joey (Esther) Lopez; six grandchildren, Ruben J. Lopez, Isaiah Lopez, Krista L. Lopez, and Kaylee R. Lopez, Destiny Montoya and Leslie Montoya; one great granddaughter, Karizma Lopez; five sisters, Irma Mills, Rosalinda Trevino, Sandra Anzaldua, Graciela Barnett, and Angie Gonzalez; three brothers, Juan Gonzalez, Jesse Gonzalez, Jose Angel Gonzalez Jr.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
