Obituary of Maria G. Martinez

Maria Gonzalez Martinez, 86 of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Amador and Simona M. Gonzalez; husband, Severo Martinez, Sr.; daughter, Rosa Hernandez; sons, Manuel Martinez and Jesus Martinez; brothers, Andres Gonzalez, Norberto Gonzalez, Aristeo Gonzalez, and Felix Gonzalez.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Maria Magdalena Torres, San Juanita Martinez, Trinidad Gonzalez, and Irma Gonzalez; sons, Juan Martinez, Alberto Martinez, Severo Martinez Jr, Jose Martinez, and Jose Luis Gonzalez; 29 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Juan Gonzalez; sisters, Susana Arriaga and Josefina Zamora; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Monday, December 9, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Severo Martinez Jr., Juan Martinez, Albert Martinez, David Martinez, Jesus Martinez Jr., and Pablo Martinez Jr.
