Obituary of Gloria Cantu

Gloria Cantu, 67 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019, in Harlingen, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of San Benito.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Obadiah Cantu; and brother, Juan Herrera.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Gilberto Cantu; four children, Norma (Paul) Gonzales, Nora (Raymundo Padilla II) Cantu, Nelda (Lorenzo Machuca Jr.) Cantu, and Gilbert (Vicky) Cantu Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and brother, Roberto Hernandez.

Visitation will begin Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at San Benito City Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eran Gonzales, Joe Zavala, Lorenzo Machuca Jr., Lorenzo Machuca III, Jayden Gonzalez, and Jacob Machuca.
