Obituary of Tomie Kayama Jukes

Tomie Kayama Jukes, 83 of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Tomie was born in Yokosuka, Japan on September 9, 1936. She came to the United States in 1962 where she lived in La Grange, Texas and Austin, Texas. Tomie moved to Port Isabel in the 1970’s and resided until her passing.

She is preceded in death by her loving son, John Roland Taylor Jr; her parents, Senkichi and Hanako Abe Kayama; and several brothers and one sister.

Tomie is survived by her loving son, James Roy (Rosario) Taylor Sr.; and four grandchildren, Megan Taylor, Tiffany (Chris) Boatman, Jordan R. Taylor, and James Roy Taylor Jr.

A private service will be held at a later date.
