Obituary of Dominga I. Mendiola

Dominga Infante Mendiola, 86 of Los Fresnos, TX entered into eternal rest on September 10, 2019 at home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on August 6, 1933 in Bayview Tx, and was the fourth of 13 children. She was the daughter of Jose Angel and Carolina Infante. Who have since preceded her in death along with 6 siblings, Juana Barajas, Juan, Pedro and Jose Infante, Isabel Ramirez and Guadalupe Alvarado.

She is survived by her husband, Domingo Mendiola and seven children; Jose Herminio, Benito, Roberto, Antonio, Angelita, Guadalupe and Rolando Mendiola. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 brothers Pablo, Javier, Martin and Jesus Infante, Jose Barajas and sister Virginia Infante.

She was a hard-working wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She dedicated most of her time raising and caring for her family. She was a selfless woman of faith. She accepted the Lord into her heart and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ under pastor Abel Garza on June 10 1992 and that same year she received the Holy Spirit. She loved going to church, maintaining her beautiful roses, she also enjoyed cooking, cleaning, baking, having family gatherings and reminiscing about old times.

Our family was fortunate that she was never alone and we thank God for blessing us with so many wonderful years with her.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 11, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. With a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
