Obituary of Marco Antonio Ochoa

Marco Antonio Ochoa, 59, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 in Harlingen, Texas.

Marco was a very hard worker; he shrimped all his life. He was a good-hearted person and always helped who he could. Marco graduated from Port Isabel High School and started shrimping right out of high school. He had a great sense of humor and always made everyone laugh.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arnoldo Ochoa; mother, Maria Esther Carrillo; brother, Rodolfo (Rudy) Ochoa; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Marco is survived by his loving wife, Belinda Ochoa; son, Marco Antonio Ochoa Jr; stepchildren, Tamara Martinez, Andrew Martinez, and Ronald Martinez; grandchildren, Makayla Ochoa, Ronald Martinez Jr., Rey Martinez, Layla Martinez, Joseph Mireles, Lauryn Mireles, and Adrian Martinez; and siblings, Arnold Ochoa, Ana (Jesse) Delgado, Esther (Julian) Ochoa, Juan (Marsha) Garza, and Dina Ochoa.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes.
