Jose Jesus "Jesse" Torres, 51 of Laguna Heights, Texas, passed away on February 17, 2012 in Brownsville, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Padilla and Caritina Lopez Torres; and his aunt, Lydia "Conchita" Baldovinos. He is survived by his wife Maria Socorro Garcia and son Jesse Lee Garcia, both of Port Isabel, Texas; two brothers: Jose (Lola) Torres of Brownsville, Texas and Adolfo Lopez Ramirez of Port Isabel, Texas; nephew Antonio (Alejandra) Jose Torres; nieces Sara Torres and Micaela J. Torres; his aunt Gloria Lopez and uncle Genaro Lopez; cousins: Yolanda Baldovinos, Juan Baldovinos, Martin Baldovinos, Luisa Rocha, Melda Pena, Alfonso Flores, and Lorena Flores. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow service in accordance with his wishes.
