Obituary of Jesus R. Tapia

Jesus Tapia, 55, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo Tapia and Juana Rangel.

Jesus is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda Tapia; three daughters, Maria (Mike) Slaughter, Katie Lee Tapia, and Michelle Tapia; three grandchildren, Demarco Slaughter, Myleena Slaughter, and Delanzo Slaughter; mother-in-law, Maria D. Aguilar; five siblings, Victor Tapia, Ubaldo Tapia, Oscar Tapia, Rosa Tapia, and Nena Tapia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, July 2, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas with burial to follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
