San Benito, Texas- Estela G. Rodriguez, 61, entered into rest on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. Estela was a lifelong resident of San Benito, Texas. She worked as a cafeteria worker for the San Benito School District at Berta Cabaza Middle School for 20 years and retired in 2007. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Porfirio and Mario Rodriguez; and her parents, Porfirio and Herlinda Villarreal Galvan. She is survived by her loving husband, Carlos Rodriguez Sr.; two children: Carlos Rodriguez Jr and Herlinda Diaz; and nine grandchildren: Alex, Andy, Nunila, Joe, Carlos III, Nathan, Mario, Porfirio, and Selina. Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:00 am at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel.
