Obituary of Harold Rahr

Harold David Rahr, 65, of Port Isabel, Texas, went to be with his Lord on February 6, 2012 after a hard fought illness. Harold proudly served his country in the US Army and was a Vietnam veteran. After his military service, he joined the US Customs and retired after 30 years of service. He is very much loved and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. and Jacqueline Edge Rahr; and his son, Mark W. Melina. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Darlene Dancey Melina Rahr; his siblings: Robert D. (Sharon) Rahr Jr., William O. (Brigette) Rahr, Joan R. (Garland) Young, and Marie R. (Bill) Van Camp; his daughter: Lori (Tito Delgado) Melina and Tracey M. (David) Gorham; and grandchildren: Nicole Garcia, James Delgado, Jonathan Delgado, Taylor Toepperwein, Mary Garcia, Jayson Delgado, and Angelina Delgado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at The American Legion Post 498, 819 South Garcia Street Port Isabel, Tx 78578. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Words of Comfort can be sent to the family of Harold David Rahr at www.thomaegarza.com.
