Obituary of John Michael Little

John Michael Little, 74, of Laguna Vista, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in Harlingen, Texas. He was born May 3, 1944 to the late John C. Little and Lillian McCarty Little.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Susan McCarty.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Marlene Widmyer Little, whom he married May 4, 1968; three children, John Xavier Little, Kenneth Douglas Little, and Vicki Little (Robert) Nixon; four grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Little, Rachel Little (Thomas) Spell, Robert Kingston Nixon, and Aidan Ray Nixon; and three great grandchildren, Serena, Evelynn, and Christopher Spell. Four Siblings, Sharon M. Little, Sheila M. Fargis (Peter), Richard M. Little, James P. Little (Van), and Robin Russo (Mike); several nieces and nephews.

John was raised in the D.C. area. He graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 1962; attended Georgia Tech for two years; later he went to the University of Maryland (College Park, MD) and graduated in 1968.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, Texas.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Services will conclude after.
