Obituary of Joe Steven Galvan

Joe Steven Galvan, 33, of San Benito, Texas passed away on December 25, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Penny Jones; maternal grandparents, Regino Elizondo and Juanita Sifuentes; and paternal grandmother, Ofelia Galvan.

Joe is survived by his wife, Valerie Mercado; three sons: Steven Rey Galvan, Ryan Joe Galvan, and Joe Steven Galvan, Jr.; two daughters: Angelina Jo Galvan and Kaylee Jo Galvan; his father Estevan Galvan; four brothers: Gabriel Puente, Daniel Galvan, Damian Puente, and Michael Galvan; two sisters: Estebanee “Stevie” Galvan and Rebecca Galvan; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.

A chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at San Benito Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers: Daniel Galvan, Michael Galvan, Damian Puente, Nathan Flores, Ryan Elizondo, Jon Paul Elizondo, Jesus Sanchez, and Manuel “Pipo” Mercado.
