Obituary of Rosalinda Dominguez Luera

Rosalinda “Rose” Dominguez Luera, 63, of Mercedes, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 in Weslaco, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rufino Dominguez; her mother, Dominga C. Dominguez; and two brothers, Ricardo Dominguez and Indalecio Dominguez.

Rosalinda is survived by her son Juan “Johnny” (Evelyn) Castañeda of Port Isabel; daughter Dominic (Aaron) Castañeda of Port Isabel/Mission; two brothers, Rufino Dominguez Jr and Fred Dominguez; sister Mari A. Dominguez; grandchildren: Mia Castañeda, Tristyn Castañeda, Calista Olvera, Helaina Olvera, Aaron Olvera, Tessa Olvera, and Jonathan; and soon to arrive great-grandchild Nova; as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

A Memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday June 16, 2018 at Thomae Garza Funeral Home, followed by the release of her ashes at Pier 19 on South Padre Island at 10:30 a.m.
