Obituary of Jose Luis Luna

Jose Luis Luna, 62, of San Benito Texas passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas.

Known to his HEB partners as “Bear”. Where he proudly worked for 27 years, Joe was a simple but kind man who never met a stranger.  Besides his wife his other loves were the Chicago Cubs, Oakland Raiders, Houston Rockets a, Michigan Wolverines and his dog Teddy Luna.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Margarito Luna and Felipa Cruz as well as 1 brother Margarito Luna Jr..

Jose is survived by his loving wife; Nora Luna, his three brothers; Armando Luna, Rolando (Cecilia) Luna, and Manuel (Maria Juanita) Tagle; and one sister; Tula (Jose) Aguirre; nephews and grandnephews; Rolando (Elsa) Luna Jr., Roberto Luna, Rolando Luna III and Andres Margarito Luna.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Rolando Luna Jr., Roberto Luna, Rolando Luna III, Roberto Cervantes, Ruben Escamilla and Jacob Escamilla.Serving as Honorary pallbearer Andres Margarito Luna.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. 

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at  1:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
