San Benito, Texas- Elva Martinez, 72, entered the Lord's Kingdom on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at her residence.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Eduardo Martinez Sr.; her children: San Juanita (Abel) Martinez, Maria V. Martinez, Elizabeth (Robert Flores) Martinez, Elva Martinez, Manuela (Arnold Sauceda) Martinez, and Eduardo (Teresa Perez) Martinez Jr; four grandchildren: Sergio Medina Jr., Krystal Marie Medina, Eduardo Martinez III, and Lelia Martinez. She is also survived by her mother, Victoria Fuentes and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Cremation will follow in accordance to her wishes.
Interment of her ashes and graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:00 am at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
