On Pearl Harbor Day 2016, our family lost one of our members of the greatest generation. Arthur Theodore Springer passed away at the age of 93 in San Benito, Texas. Art went to join his parents in Heaven, to enjoy the glory of our Lord. Art retired from Reynolds Aluminum, the Eskimo Pie Division and lived his retirement years in the area he loved so much, San Benito, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Klementyne Springer; his wife of 35 years, Joanne Springer; his sister; Irene Aaron, and his niece, Jenny Bagget. Art is survived by his son Ted (Annette) Springer of Talladega, AL; his special friend and caregiver, Magdalena Parsons; his grandchildren: Tommy (Jamie) Springer of Birmingham, AL, Jennifer Dickson, and Tasha (Heath) Heinz of Birmingham, AL ; and great-grandchildren: Maddox Springer, Cole Heinz, Elle Heinz, all of Birmingham, AL. No local services will be held and cremation services will take place in accordance to his wishes.
