Roberto Galvan, 59, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in Brownsville, Texas. He was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He was a musician in Michigan with the “Quarter Band” for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edubijes “Vico” and Inocencia “Chencha” Gonzalez Galvan; one sister, Angelita Galvan; and one nephew, Eric Galvan. Roberto is survived by one daughter, Selena Galvan Hudson; four grandchildren: Malik Miller, Trinity Miller, Isaiah Hudson, and Chance Hudson; three brothers: Lorenzo (Sylvia) Galvan, Vico Galvan, Jr., and Ramiro (Linda) Galvan; one sister, Erlinda (Michael) Henry; his uncles, Magdaleno “Leno” Gonzalez, Hilario Galvan and Tomas Galvan; and many aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 South Longoria Street in Port Isabel, Texas. Interment will follow at Las Yescas Cemetery in Rio Hondo, Texas.
