Sara M. Fonseca, 81, of San Benito, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Harlingen, Texas. She was a devoted catholic who prayed the rosary every day and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents: Carmen and Paula Compean Macias and one brother: Juan Macias. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 48 years, Ricardo Fonseca; children: Melida and Meliza Fonseca of San Benito, Ricardo Jr. and Esmeralda Fonseca of West, Texas; grandchildren: Andee and Tori Fonseca of West, Texas; sisters: Aurora Alicia Montemayor of Harlingen and Maria De Jesus Padget of Burley, Idaho and one brother, Luis Macias of Harlingen. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow at San Benito Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are: Ricardo Fonseca Jr., Efrain Montemayor, Arnoldo Macias, Antonio Rodriguez, Jose Fonseca Jr. and Juan Macias Jr. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the family.
