Antonia C. Alfaro, 74, of Rio Hondo, Texas, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Alfaro and her parents, Antonio and Hortencia Corona. She is survived by her daughter, Nora Alfaro; her grandsons: Eric Jaime, Adrian Jaime, Armando Salas, and Fernando Salas, Jr.; her sisters: Rosa (Santos) Sandoval, Dominga (George) Aguirre, Diana (Roberto) Carbajal, and Ofelia Huerta; and her brothers: Guadalupe and Jose Corona. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 9:00pm, with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 12:00 pm at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Committal service will follow at Rio Hondo Community Cemetery.
