Obituary of Francisca De Leon Bejaran

Please share a memory of Francisca to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Francisca “Panchita” De Leon Bejaran, went home into the hands of God in Heaven surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 15, 2016. Born October 10, 1923 in Kyle, Texas to the late Refugio and Margarita Ayala De Leon and was raised on a farm in Landrum Park in San Benito, Texas. She married the love of her life, the late Alfonso P. Bejaran on August 15, 1948 and had 5 children. Mom enjoyed gardening, singing, and helping family, neighbors, and friends in need. Her favorite songs were “Un Dia La Vez” and “O Madre Querida”. Our mother was very generous as an active donor to multiple organizations and catholic churches. She had a long, happy life filled with endless amounts of love and enjoyed time spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered as an extraordinary woman, set in her ways, who made an impact on many people’s lives. Mom will never be forgotten and will always have a special place in our hearts. “Rest in peace Mom, until we meet again…” Francisca was preceded in death by her brother, Rodolfo De Leon; and a daughter, Norma B. Segovia. She is survived by her children: Gerardo “Jerry” (Mary Jane) Bejaran, Noemi (David) Sanchez Gonzales, Rose (Arturo) Ramirez, Margarita “Margie” (Dennis) Zamarron; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Among her family, Panchita had many friends who provided special care services and we will forever be grateful for the moments spent with her. Special thanks to Yolanda Valencia, Elvira Cardoza, Maria Antonia De Leon, Juanita, Abigail Cook, and Christina Perez.
