Jose Cruz Garcia, 51, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on May 28, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Gracie V. Garcia; daughter, Kelly (Aaron) Garcia; his parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Garcia; siblings: Linda Garcia, Mary Helen (Doug) Hubert, Refugio (Bea) Garcia, Arnold (Sylvia) Garcia, Selma (Paul) Bermudez, and Michelle (Joe) Roa; and two grandchildren: Jacklyn T. LaBell and Kaycey J. Cortez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a divine mercy prayer at 6:00 p.m. and a holy rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
