Richard “Dick” Arthur Coessens, 74, passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Texas the morning of May 19, 2016. Born in Amsterdam NY, he lived much of his adult life in Syracuse NY and eventually retired to South Padre Island, TX. Educated at Albany College of Pharmacy, he was a caring pharmacist and co-owner of several drug stores, Harold’s Pharmacy. After selling his stores, he retired to South Padre Island, TX and then later Laguna Vista, TX where he lived out his dream of being near the water. His passions included family, friends and traveling. As world travelers, he and his wife had visited every continent except Antarctica and was looking forward to his next trip on an Alaskan cruise. He is survived by his loving wife Donna; daughter Alexandra Fenech; step sons Steve, Ken and Chris Mineker; sister Kathleen Smith; and several grandchildren. A private service will be held in Laguna Vista, Texas on Sunday May 22st.
