Arvelene Elizabeth Elliff, born September 1944 in Harlingen, Texas, a lifelong resident of San Benito, Texas, was called Home by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her mansion was complete. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Pace and Henry Arvel Elliff; sisters: Gayle Hastings of Oklahoma and Vera Lee Gipson of San Antonio; brothers-in-law, Herb Hastings, Johnny Gipson, Edward McCann, Tommy Thomas; and three nephews: Ricky McCann, Kevin Hastings, and David Gipson. Arvelene is survived by her son, Ray “Peso: (Melinda Montalvo) Pirtle of San Benito, Texas; sisters: Barbara Edith McCann, Louella Thomas, and Ruth Edna Ashley; brothers: Robert C. (Debby) Elliff and Martin C. Elliff; numerous nieces and nephews all over Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Georgia; as well as her cousin, Lester Pace of Harlingen. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
