Concepcion L. Bennett, 91, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Bennett, Sr. and son, Felix Bennett, Jr. She is survived by her children: Gualberto (Maria) Bennett, Sr., Jose (Doris) Bennett, Hector (Beverly) Bennett, Patricia B. (Melvin) James, Dora Cecilia (Oscar) Bennett, Dalia Dee Bennett, Horacio (Ofelia) Bennett, and Maria Teresa (Alex) Valencia. Also surviving her are 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church, Shell Harbor Plaza, 1200 US Hwy 100, Suite 1, Port Isabel, Texas with Pastor Jorge Moreno officiating. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park in Brownsville, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Gualberto Bennett, Jr., Felix Bennett, III, Hector Bennett, Jr., Marco Antonio Bennett, Derrick Bennett, Alex Valencia, and Gualberto Bennett, III.
