Rafael Cerda Valdez, 69, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Harlingen, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Rafael and Agustina Valdez Cerda; and one son, Rafael Cerda Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Aurora R. Cerda; children: Ernesto Cerda, Norma D. Cano, Veronica Rafael, Rolando Cerda, and Richard Cerda; 21 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. and a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes.
