Johanna Christine “Jackie” Ronspiez 94 formerly of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on January 18, 2016 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in Glennonville, Missouri to Clemons and Regina Lampe on September 20, 1921. She married Phillip Ronspiez on May 8, 1945 in Glennonville, Missouri. She worked for the Los Fresnos School District Cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed square dancing, quilting and gardening. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Los Fresnos and a member of St. Cecilia’s Altar Society for 42 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters: Anne, Eulalia, Regina, Veronica, Gertrude; and brothers: George, Bud and Joe. She is survived by daughters, Regina (Al) Cox of Kerrville, TX, and Clara (Kenneth) Keller of Rockport, TX; son Johnny (Linda) Ronspiez of Vail, AZ; sisters, Marie Rodin, Rose Jackson and Gesina Rotter; and sister-in-law Dorothy Lampe; brothers, Anthony (Clementine) Lampe and Clemons Lampe. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Scott (Kathy) Ronspiez and John David (Lancey) Ronspiez, Billy Youngs; and great-grandchildren: Katlyn and Tristin Ronspiez, Bailey and Landon Youngs. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Harlingen, Texas with Fr. Lawrence Klein officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX. Memorials may be given to Alzheimers Association.
