Casimira C. Rodriguez, 75, born March 4, 1940 from Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas with her husband by her side. Casimira was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. She was employed for 20 years at Los Fresnos CISD till she retired. She is preceded in death by her parents Miguel Carlos Sandoval and Rumalda G. Carlos and her grandson, Gage Garza. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years of marriage, Santiago “Jimmy” Rodriguez Jr.; daughter Effie Michelle (Daniel) Garza; five grandchildren: Jack Daniel, Jimmy Gavin, Justyn Cezar, Jazmine Cassidy, and Johnny Gage Garza. Seven brother and sisters: Alicia (+Raul) Loera, Connie (+Roberto) Villarreal, Gabriella (Juan Jose) Martinez, Janie (Evan) Reyna, Cruz (Beatrice) Carlos, Ramona (Ron) Jauhola, and Miguel (Ofelia) Carlos. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Serving as pallbearers: Jack Garza, Ron Jauhola, Evan Reyna, Cruz Carlos, Miguel Carlos and Daniel Garza.
