Maria Guadalupe Zuniga, 63, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of San Benito, Texas and a beloved member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto Torres and Julia Valdez. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Benito Cerda Zuniga; her children: Benito Zuniga Jr, Idalia Zuniga, and Daniel Zuniga; one grandson, Samuel Zuniga; two sisters: Viola Alvarez and Andrea Longoria; and two brothers: Javier Torres and Jose Torres. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at with prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral service will held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at San Benito Memorial Park.
