Carmen L McDaniel was born on April 5, 1933 in Harlingen, Texas. She was called to her Heavenly home on July 30, 2015. She was very much involved in her Church Rangerville Baptist. She was known as the cookie lady. Everyone enjoyed her laughter, kindness and loving heart. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Lawrence O'Dell McDaniel; and forever loved by her children: Romaldo (Rosa) Villanueva, Rosalinda (Johnny) De Leon, Maria Cantu, Carmen Villanueva, Blanca (Jesus) Gonzalez, Catarino (Nancy) Villanueva, Elfie Lawler, and Rosela (Gene) Zavala; as well as numerous grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held Sunday August 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday August 3, 2015 at Rangerville Baptist Church. Carmen will be laid to rest at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
