Reynaldo R. Escobedo, 90, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents Refugio and Jovita Escobedo; wife, Juanita G. Escobedo and his son Reynaldo Escobedo Jr. Reynaldo is survived by his children: Ramiro (Esmeralda), Ricki (Delia Martinez), Rene (Tanya Zimmerman) Escobedo, and Rebecca (Tim) Bonvillion; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park with military honors under the auspices of American Legion John Hanson Post 43 of Brownsville.
