Delia Noriega, 78, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Delia was a beautiful, resilient woman of faith. She was confident, fearless, nurturing, loving, humble, patient, but above all she was filled with a true belief in God. Born August 17, 1936, in Harlingen, TX, Delia will be forever cherished for the deep love she held for her children, extensive family members, her church and her many friends in her life. She accepted everyone she knew into her home and her heart with an embrace and a blessing. She is a light that will continue to burn bright in the hearts of everyone she touched. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Isidoro (Lolo) Noriega; parents Pablo and Elena Martinez; brother, Felipe Martinez; and sister, Emma Munoz. Loving memories are left with her five children: Paula Gonzalez (Adan), Isidoro Noriega Jr. (Consuelo), Sylvia Caballero (Ruben), Delia Claudio (Pete), and Amanda Noriega; brother, Eliseo Martinez; sister, Maria Lopez; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Rosa Noriega for the love and care she provided to her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
