Reginald W. Rody, 98, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Harlingen, Texas, He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Rody; parents, John and Lydia Rody; and siblings: Audrey Stanton, Margaret Vautlan, and Kermit Rody. He is survived by his children, Michael (Nora Galvan) Rody and Carla (Gary Stegmen) Heath; his granddaughter, Risé Rody; his cousins: Eva Benafield and Jerry (Karen) Jensen; as well as many other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Military honors will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. under the auspices of the American Legion Post 205 of Harlingen, Texas. Funeral services will conclude and cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes.
