Angel C. Saldivar, 70, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Harlingen Medical Center. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sostenes and Guadalupe Caraveo Saldivar; his son Daniel Saldivar ;his sisters: Lupita Reyes, Genoveva Saldivar, and Sara Saldana; and one brother, Salvador Saldivar. He is survived by his loving wife, Aurora Saldivar; his children: Sonia (Juan) Castillo, David (Elva) Saldivar, Liz (Tom) Mathis, Eric (Yesenia) Saldivar, and Ronald (Monica) Saldivar; nine grandchildren; his sisters: Juanita Valdiviez, Elodia Aguilar, and Rosa Vasquez. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A chapel service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 10:00 am at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Interment will follow at Rio Hondo City Cemetery.
