Villa Cavazos, Texas- Herlinda Martinez, 54, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Herlinda worked with Cameron County for 31years as an accountant administrator. She will be missed deeply by all her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Marcelino Martinez, Sr. and Aunt Francisca Aguirre. Ms. Martinez is survived by her mother Andrea A. Martinez of Villa Cavazos; sister Nora M. Morales (Jose) of Villa Cavazos; brothers: Santos (Ninfa) Martinez of Shafter, California, Ricardo (Alicia) Martinez of Delano, California; Marcelino (Gloria) Martinez, Jr. of Michigan and Juan Francisco (Dominga) Martinez of Delano, California; numerous nieces and nephews including the love of her life Eric Joe Morales. Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2007 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Marcelino Morales, Jose Morales, Jr., Gilbert Guadarrama, Santos Martinez, Guadalupe Garcia and Esteban Martinez.
