Laguna Vista, Tx - Mrs. Gertrude "Gert" Gage, 84, of Laguna Vista passed away in Harlingen on Friday, December 3 after a five month illness.
Gert was a member of First United Methodist Church in Port Isabel and sang in their choir. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 12, 1926.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dean of 44 years who passed away in 1989, and her parents, Hans, 1979 and Gertrude Wolfers in 1986.
Gert is survived by her sister, Joan Utz of Des Moines, Iowa; three sons, Richard Gage of New Hampton, Iowa, Martin Gage of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Larry Gage of Laguna Vista; and 3 three grandchildren.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 8th at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church at 101 West Adams St. in Port Isabel.Officiated by Rev. Sue Huntsman.
