Jessica Martinez-Ramirez, 32, of Laguna Vista, TX entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Jessica loved to dance and play the maquinitas when she could. She worked at South Padre Resort Rentals and Sunchase Suites on South Padre Island. She was also the bingo caller at American Legion Post 498. Jessica was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who will be dearly missed by all. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Yvonne Martinez-Aggi and Gregoria Martinez Ochoa. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Julio C. Ramirez; her daughter, Yarecy Iveth Ramirez; her parents, Gregorio and Marcelina Martinez; three sisters, Rebecca Martinez, Marisa Martinez, and Erica (Concepcion) Camarillo; as well as numerous other family members. Visitations will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitations will continue from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located at 605 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Committal Service will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
