Elvira Rodriguez Estrada, 91, of San Benito passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Estrada; her parents, Elueterio and Josefa Rodriguez; 2 sons, Ramon R. Estrada and Guadalupe F. Estrada; 2 sisters, Guadalupe H. Huerta and Rosa R. Salazar; 2 brothers, Jose H. Rodriguez and Roberto H. Rodriguez; and a son-in-law, Joel Abrego. Elvira is survived by her daughter, Josefina E. Abrego; 6 grandchildren, Eleanor Estrada, Ernie Estrada, Edna Claudio, Edward Estrada, Michelle Estrada, and Melissa M. Estrada; 12 great grandchildren;a daughter-in-law, Gracie Estrada; 2 brothers, Elueterio Rodriguez, Jr. and Pedro Rodriguez; and a sister, Ofelia Cortez. Visitations will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
