Louis E. Bennett, 66, of Port Isabel, TX, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Mildred C. Bennett Sr.; one son, Johnny Bennett; and one brother, Charles E. Bennett. He is survived by his wife, Tomasa Bennett of Port Isabel; his four daughters, Karen Brown of Port Isabel, Rosie Alaniz of Los Fresnos, Mirna (Hector) Bennett-Rodriguez, and Samantha Bennett of Laguna Vista; his son, Louis (Cynthia) Bennett of Brownsville; ten grandchildren; one brother, Luther W. (Doris) Bennett III of Port Isabel; and four sisters: Martha Bennett of Los Fresnos, Joella (Kenneth) Baldwin of Laughlin, Nevada, Mary (Arthur) Wiltse of Port Isabel and Betty Jean (Alfonso) Camacho of Port Isabel. Visitation will be held on Saturday September 10, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home, 395 S. Sam Houston in San Benito. Chapel Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday September 11, 2011 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Eddie Sanchez of Crossroads Community Church in Los Fresnos.
